I have too much grass too. The vets put Vinnie on a diet already & spring is only just here !! Not sure what I'm going to do as I've got 6 acres of good grazing between 2 horses. I was thinking I'll cut the grass with a lawnmower & have a dressage arena sectioned off & then a show jumping course sectioned off. I have applied for planning permission for stables so thats going to take another area, but I still think they're never going to keep on top of the grass. I might have to get another pony

Could you not section a couple of acres off and grow your own hay!

I still think they're never going to keep on top of the grass. I might have to get another pony Have to be honest & say that some electric fencing would probably be chaper, but what the h3ll - go for it! My lot (2 horses, 1 pony & Dougie Donk) are out on 23 acres, shared only when the neighbours sheep can be bothered walking that far uphill - gives me stacks of excuses to expand further
