Hi Lindsay
As I said in my other post, I would be very careful about pumping feed into him if he has not been fed much - it could result in colic or blow his brains !!
The feed type sounds fine, but try and split it between 3 or 4 feeds instead of the normal two for a few weeks until his tummy is used to being 'full' again !!
I am sure it will all work out fine - can you post a photo of how he is looking just now?
Lisa x

dito what lisa said it can affectt heir liver too. i find bran helps the stomach when they are that poorly. also bailies number one is good for sick horses but there is no miricle cure and it will take mnths to get him right its better to see a little improvment everyday tho than to rush it. i would remomend top spec too as coisty looks crackng on it the now, gleaming and a top line too!! either that its the wee fairys that com in during the night ha ha

Pink Powder is a great supplement! I used it as a 30 day pick me up when mine lost condition at the start of the winter (he's such a wimp!). Great for your sort of situation!
