I am astounded at how quickly a small plea seems to have turned into a nationwide operation!!! I am lucky that Kalasadi has jumped on board and who is doing a fab job!!! as well as getting her friend to donate the website.... Thanks everyone for your support in this..... And please sign the guestbook if you nip onto the website!

This is great - well done Measels
We have made this an 'announcement' so that it can be seen on all boards, so that 'guests' on the forum can see it too.
I do hope that we can all donate something - no matter how small.

Things are getting going up here now. Edinburgh & District Riding Club are emailing all contacts about this as not many people had heard of Operation Esther up here - we are getting a kind of ''chain text'' going to make sure everyone knows about it. They will also be making a ££ donation and an appeal in the newsletter which goes out later this week. Drum Feeds at 684 Old Dalkeith Road, Nr Danderhall Edinburgh (0131 663 4889) have volunteered to be a drop off point for people to donate rugs etc, and they will put a collection tin in the shop and display posters. Oxenford Equestrian Centre, nr Pathhead, Midlothian are also a pick up point and have collection tins. Craig Lawrence the owner of Craigesk Coach Works, Gorebridge, Midlothian was so upset by the news he has put out collection tins at his garage and they are filling faster than he can get them to the bank !! Avril Yards rug repairs, Gorebridge, Midlothian has volunteered to make any repairs to rugs before they are sent down - that will be her contribution to Operation Esther. We will put this in the posters so that people may donate rugs that they may not otherwise have given because they needed 'fixed'. I have suggested we have the collection of rugs etc until the end of Feb and we will get them down - hopefully by free carrier. If not we can possibly arrange some kind of relay between volunteers. I am happy to be a contact for people in Scotland to email with queries and also my friend Jo Pagett who, as we speak, is travelling around all the local businesses and getting them to have collection tins etc Knowing Jo this list will be much longer this time tomorrow !! Jo's email is jojo.jin@tiscali.co.uk
and mine is
lisahamer@fsmail.net
Can I ask everyone in Scotlans who sees this to 'spread the word'
Thanks
