Why not instead of slating the club find out if there is anything that the members can do to HELP!!!!!! Because no one can get hold of the main proprietor to find out what's going on and what can be done to help

I have tried to avoid posting this as some people know I was extremely hacked off with the club earlier in the year.
It is not on for a club to take money for "membership" when there has realistically been no club this year.
I persuaded my YO to hold a qualifier for a show that now doesnt exist and not because there was no judges but because it was simply not organised.
I paid out my own pocket to get rossies for our show and got slated on here by the main owner of the club as she had to drive to drop them off. NOT MY FAULT!!!. I had been attempting to contact her for 3 months prior to that. I was totally appalled and really p****d off at that display.
I would also like to point out that when this club was set up it was "all about the members " and " a full disclosure would be given of finanaces" Well as I was told last year that the membership goes towards the champ show I would love to know where it has gone this year.
Like Eleanor (I think) I have offered support and help on more than one occasion and I havent even had a reply so sorry but I would love this club to continue but dont see how it can when I know I am not the only one that has been treated like this.
I really saddens me to think this is the end of a club that was set up with best intentions.

Hi everyone. We are going to have a meeting to see what the WHOLE of the committee can do to help improve things for the club. We fully understand that it might take alot to win back our members approval, but we are willing to try. Please try and understand that we are all taking time out from our own very busy lives, for the sake of keeping the club alive. E fully understand that people are angry with what has went on this year however we would like to draw a line and start a fresh as an almost new club (with more involvment from other comittee members) If anyone has any constructive critism or any ideas that we can discuss at the meeting then please post below. Thanks for your understanding and support with all of this

BB I think this is the correct approach and I really wish you all luck with this.
From an outside view it looks to me that several people tried to help (esp with my problems) and that they were unable to do so due to the club set up.
It would be a great shame to lose the whole feeling of the club as I think it had some great members and I loved the show last year and the general atmosphere.
If there is a complete overhaul from a running point of view I would consider being involved in holding a show again as my issues were down to one rude person.

Thanks tracy and princess for your support. This isn't the end of the club, far from it. If there are any members who feel they would like to join the committee and would like to get involved with the running of events, be it jumping, showing, clinics whatever...then can you please say, pm if you prefer. Part of the problem is that we started with a good number of committee members but, like all clubs, some fall away for various reasons. It has turned out now that there are only a handful of us trying to do it all. It is difficult because as it has been pointed out, we do this in spare time and have our lives to run also. This is not an excuse, it is just a fact of life. we really need people in the west, ayrshire area, perth and upwards and particularly in north england. so if you think you have something to offer then please speak to one of us. This club built up a great rep and deservedly so, but we have fallen behind and it has been unacceptable. Hope to hear from some of you soon. Thanks xx

Totally agree, these people give up alot of there free time to run this club and yes there has not been much on this year but it's not only scotnorth that has been having problems this year! i have faith in the Girl's that it will come bouncing back and be better for next season and the Ayrshire girl's will be supporting them all the way..... so if we can help in anyway just give us a shout.. Can I ask that as part of the agenda, be it AOB, that is is mentioned that I havent received rosettes / awards / trophy that I have been awarded / won. I know how difficult it is to run a club ... I am on the committee for a local astronomy society and we have had the crappiest year ever with people resigning etc etc I was left to run the club on my own for best part of the year. I have to get emails out and stuff in the post and produce a monthly 'skynotes & newsletter', organise public events and monthly meetings, I still managed it. It just needs delegation, which i can now do. Hope you do managed to get things delegated and manage to pick the club up again. And if you do, can i ask for one more thing ... some stuff down here for us non scottish residents. xx

thats a shame you didnt get your trophy mell
you were always a good supporter of shows in your area
i think the problem with the shows in your area was the lack of helpersand area co-ordinators
however i think LDF has a few plans up her sleeve for the future - do you live near by to her?

Hi Mel
I certainly want to see things being organised down here, however, I cannot do it alone, so will be looking to get some offers of help and support down this end.
Also need to think about were northern events can be held, as 'the north' is such a huge area. It would be helpfu l if members who live in England could indicate where they would be willing to travel to, being realistic, I am not gong to be willing to put on events which I then have a good drive to, so there there may be some meeting half way.
