Hello everyone
Well, it is that time to start thinking about 2011 and what we will be doing.
We have the new website which I hope you all enjoy, same address just a different host and layout.
2011 registrations are now due. I do apologise but the PayPal link is playing up so I have taken it off the site, we are back to snail mail and cheques for the moment.
We already have an impressive line up of shows for 2011. We will also be running more of the show jumping days as these were a huge success in 2010.
Here is the showing schedule so far :-
08/05/2011 - SDSG Spring Show, Co Durham
14/05/2011 - Northern Retrained Racehorse Show Sedgfield Racecourse
14/05/2011 & 15/05/2011 - Ayr County Show, Ayr Racecourse
29/05/2011 - Strathearn RC Annual Show, Strathallan Castle, Auchterader
06/2011 - Central & West Fife Agricultural Show, Fife
04/06/2011 - Newmins Show (DJ Memorial Trophy) Scotland, Loudoun Castle
03/07/2011 - EFRA Annual Show (Winter Ramble Memorial Trophy) Scottish Borders
09/07/2011 - SDSG Summer Show, Co Durham
16/07/2011 - Cumberland Agricultural Show, Carlisle Racecourse
08/2010 - Glendale Agricultural Show, Wooler
11/09/2010 SDSG Autumn Show, Co Durham
We will add the other dates/events as they are confirmed but it looks like 2011 will be our busiest year ever.
Caroline Powell has also confirmed that she can run more clinics for us, a fantastic opportunity for the budding eventers in the club. Caroline is fully booked at weekends, so these will have to be on weekdays, but I am sure you will agree a clinic with her is worth a day off work !! ;D ;D I will email you all separately about these clinics to see who would be interested.
So, as the first of the 2011 updates goes out to you all, can I just remind everyone that this is a self funding club and your annual registrations pay for the rosettes that we give to the various shows, and towards the cost of the venue hire for the annual show, so it is important that we all register for 2011 - it is a very small fee compared to most clubs and we certainly organise a heck of a lot of 'parties' for horses, riders and spectators in return.
I very much look forward to seeing you and your beautiful horses out and about during 2011 - good luck to you all. Be happy, be safe and have a great year.
