As some of you may know I was having trouble with Leon getting fizzy. Some of the girl's on here suggested that a change his feed to something with no molasses and magnesium.
So we ditched our old feed of mollichop, pony nuts and sugar beat and replaced it with horsehage mollichaff calmer (which has magnesium and other calming ingredients and no molasses) as well as speedy beat.
He has been like a totally different horse since, both to handle and ride. He even goes out on his own now with no problems. I can tie him up with out worrying too much (as long as the gate is closed and he is tied to something that snaps easy lol).
I honestly cant belive the change in him its amazing I'm so pleased. He seems so much happier in himself and not on edge all the time, I can even stroke his face now with out him throwing a wobbly and tack him up all on my own which is something I have never been able to do with him.
So thanks a lot for your advise everyone it made a real difference to Leon and made my life so much easier
