Please bare with me, I'm trying to do this on my phone!
Jeff got to Fife yesterday in a muck sweat *roley eyed smiley* and he pretty much continued to sweat a lake everytime he was on the showground proper! That is when we got onto the show ground! Jeff was showing off some lovely high piaffes to the right instead of going through the gate! So we finally get there and he walks round the collecting ring lovely. I think I must do something different in the ring to make him jog instead of walk but not realise I'm doing it. So's we gets into thd ring and proceed to jog round 'neighing' (he's been hobdayed so has no vocal chords) trotting he was grand and so was cantering - going forwards gives us both something to think about. He stood pretty ok in the line up but woudnt stand for the judge. Did a grand indi show and properly used his backend to extend. Ended up being movd up from 5th to 3rd. Not sure why he was put above the lovely Denzel who did nothing wrong but the judge isn't a show judge and by the seemsof things didn't have much of a clue what he was doing.
Next was the in-hand. Or in Jeff's case - the jog, trot, refuse to stand and drag mum around class were he was 4th.
He then proceeded to take an HOUR to load to come home ... So not amused! Jeff also started the day chestnut and finishedit roan with all the white sweat coming through! I didn't recogise the horse that stood just above me in-hand when I really should have given that I used to ride it! He has changed so much and looks so well! Hope he is ok today!
I'll put a couple of photo's up later, including 'grumpy face' just for Claire, later when I am back on my laptop. Phew! It's only taken me 25mins to write something that would normally have taken 5 on my comp!

I think furious is the word - not grumpy!
Jeff's a cracker though El, me and MissT were admiring him greatly in your ridden one. That fecker can fairly do lateral movements! ;o) xxx

I think after yesterday's performance Jeff would be more suited to Grand Prix dressage! With his lovely sideways canter in the ridden and his High Pirouettes getting into the showground!

The pony was right next to you and I didn't know who you were but how could you not recognise Leo!!! My feckin show ended with me getting my money back after the plava that meant my two boys never saw the feckin ridden class due to last years comp details being on the entry form I downloaded which said the class was not due to start until 4pm so there I was on my way to the comp at 2.55 when the Mum of Monty's 12yr old show rider phoned to say they had anounced the class so after speaking to the steward and them speaking to the judge I was told nae luck a fecking day of prep down the pan a 12yr old who'd done 2 days practice and was dressed and ready to go dissapointed and me well furious just doesn't cover it Thing is I was there before 9am dropping off poultry then headed home to clean tack and plat before heading back. So after some pissed off words in the tent 8-)I thought we could just make the in hand class so poor Monty and Leo got flung out of the trailer and run to the ring-Leo had sweated up but I couldn't even brush him, I was puting my gloves on in the ring then got Lisa's string for my number The boys both behaved well but poor Leo got kicked on his hind leg just before the line up, there was an almighty crack after which he was unlevel!!!! Ayway my handsome hunk was 3rd and my gorgeous Monty 6th but no feckin riding!!!!! Sorry Claire for ranting down the phone like a loony!! Think I will use the refund for an on the day entry for the other Fife show. Well done El he looks fab

He was certainly on his toes and strutting his stuff. He's looking really well. Hard to believe he was the same horse when he wouldn't load. His face as he stood at the bottom of the ramp was priceless....no shant and won't mum! What a little monkey but he's a gorgeous boy

Thanks! He is adorable most of the time!
Catriona you should bring your boys to West Fife, that judge has judged plenty of times over a wide variety of classes so she will have a clue what she is doing. You could hear the crack Leo got a mile off! I even asked you as we left the ring if he was ok and it still didn't register who he was! Though in my defence I did have a big Hocamaffe to hang onto lol!
To be fair that judge may not have had a clue but he was a good laugh! He decided to tell me a little story about one of the horses he used to train whilst I was supposed to be standing Jeff up in front of him before his indi! The horse used to know which field was the galloping field and used to take off with the guy every single day! It remembered till the day it died when it was quite old! It would have helped if he had decent stewards as well though.

Leo was fine yesterday thank goodness I did feel somewhat sick at the time though! And yes El I am planning to pay a fortune to enter West Fife on the day as I know Dorothy from Pony Club and that she is experienced and totally straight and doesn't just go for one type of horse either. So see you there

Els - Jeff was shining so much in the ring the glare was blinding me lol
He looked great and settled eventually - not helped by the 3 at the top of the intial line up that were getting very silly.
The group canter was interesting, quite a few times I had to pull D up before he disappeared up Jeff's bum but I could not pass you - eek
D was just unlucky that the judge didn't like greys - I know I am going on about it but to me that's like ''prejudice'' and it really has made me so mad. Enough said though.
By the way - loved the wee shetland you brought along, nearly nicked it when you weren't looking :-)
