We are delighted to announce the details of our 2010 Championship Show as follows:-
Date : Sunday 26th September 2010
Venue : Scottish Equestrian Hotel, Lanark
www.scottishequestrianhotel.com/index.htm
We would like to extend a MASSIVE thank you to the very generous support from David Stevenson of Ashleybank Investments (racing owner of Skipper's Cleuch) for sponsoring the whole show.
The sponsors for classes on the day are
Normal Classes 1 - 7a&b
Class 1 sponsor - Drum Feeds
Class 2 sponsor - Equikro
Class 3 sponsor - Animal Attire
Class 4 sponsor – Coxydene Farm Feeds
Class 5 sponsor - Top Spec
Class 6 sponsor - J.G Machinery sales
Class 7A sponsor - Premier Equine
Class 7B sponsor - Hamilton Races
2010 Championship Classes (8, 9 & 10)
2010 Ridden Championship - Sponsor www.botanica
2010 in Hand Championship - Sponsor Durafarm Performance Horses
2010 Veteran Championship - Sponsor Sandy Killbourn (Gartcarron Fire Engineering)
Show Supreme & Res Supreme
Supreme Champion Sponsor - David Stevenson Trust
Res Supreme Champion Sponsor - Millmyers horse and country store
The venue is amazing, and also easily accesible for members travelling from the South. It is much closer to the 'border' and the facilities are even better than we had at SNEC last year.
The riding floor for the main arena that we have booked for the show is 66 metres by 25 metres. There is also a coffee shop and heated viewing gallery. Plus full theatre quality sound and lighting.
We have also booked the outdoor up arena, next to the main one, for warming up as last year's venue did not really provide adequate warm up facilities.
full catering is available on site and accomodation for people and horses can be arranged direct with the venue if you wish.
There is plenty of lorry/trailer parking space too and the lorry park is next to the main arena, and is a smooth surface rather than last year's stoney car park
So, get this date in your diaries.
The schedule will be similar to last year, with you having to 'qualify' for the Championship Classes, but there will also be 'open classes' that do not require prior qualification.
We have also added a style jumping class following popular demand
