Just wondered if anybody fed this? I have bought some for Chip as he is 14 this year and it cant do any harm for his joints. Its not too expensive, just got a NAF bottle for £12.99, would be good if it worked. I wondered if it would be worth Charlie having it too as it is supposed to be good for arthritic horses.

My wee horse has arthritis of the stifle and the vet said to put her on Cosequine - and I did for a wee while - but it's sooooooo expensive (I reckon vets must be on commission ) - however I've found another supplement that has identical ingredients to it - but less of the bulking out filler - it's called Suppleaze Gold from Aviform - and if you buy 2 tubs you get the 3rd free and it's soooooo much cheaper and my wee horse is doing great on it on the maintenance dose. www.aviform.co.uk/Store/Equine-Products/Joint-Care/SUPPLEAZE-GOLD-Ultimate-Equine-Joint-Care-Supplement

I had both our mares on apple cider for a month but noticed straight away that they drank a lot more and their beds were wetter in the morning. I was using it for sweetitch as its supposed to act as a skin calmer for itchy ponies. To be honest my mares never showed any improvement in skin or joint health. My farrier has recommended in summer I exercise my mare with mild arthritis regularly and in winter I bandage to increase blood flow and use the Cortaflex supplement. Its sooo expensive but if my farrier recommends it . . . . .
