Yes the lovely graze is in the shape of a Pelham!! Its now nice and black and blue and I look like ive been fighting! Never mind - we love it really!
Flash98 - lovely to meet you and thank you for the use of your fly spray - the flies were terrible!! Love your pics and you horse is lovely - and if that was his first show then big well done to both of you - he has the right attitude for it.
Gemmat - thank you for that - I wish I could get him to behave to be able to go to County shows! He is perfect in dressage as he is on his own in the arena and we don't have tantrums, bucking, rearing (and grunting - he is very vocal when unhappy!!). Was I standing next to you and your friend in the line up?

Sorry it has taken so long to post this... although it is over a week ago the memories of all the beautiful horses at Hopetoun is still fresh in my mind. We were so impressed by the standard: way above what we had expected. The turnout, condition and behaviour of the horses was exemplery and we loved the extra 'zest' that some of them had!! We really appreciate all the hard work everyone had put in to the day. I have judged at many shows; from the local pony club to the Royal Show and the overall standard was as high as I have judged. But, Hopetoun was special. The horses made the day. To see so many noble happy horses who were much loved was really uplifting. As I said on the day I wish all my horses could be rehomed with a ScotNorth member.. It was tricky to judge you all, and even with the score sheet to guide us we had a tough task. Every one of the combinations tried so hard and had such flair that it was difficult to put you in order. However our winners were outstanding and top class examples of content, correct thoroughbreds. Thank you Miss T, Alfiesmam and CNM for your help and most of all thank you to Lisa for asking us to judge. It was an hounour and a pleasure. And thank you to all that took part, and special thanks to the horses; they were all wonderful

Thanks Lucinda
It was our pleasure and honour to have you and Peter there to judge - and you have certainly done a lot of great PR to show people that many racing trainers really do care about their horses when they leave racing and that is so important to all of us.
I am sure that we will be asking you both to judge again - I hear you wanted to gallop them so maybe we should hold our next Masterclass at Kilduff and we can use the gallops as part of our individual show :-) :-)
I will post the results as soon as I have done my house move and got broadband - I am having to hop onto friends' PCs as and when I am visiting !!!!
