Obviously I will leave the results to Lisah, but I just wanted to say, what a wonderful day we had at our biggest event of the year. Glorious weather, stunning setting, great company and the most beautiful line up of horses. Horses and riders were immaculately turned out and were an absolute credit to the club. I am sure they made Lucinda and Peters job a really difficult one. The sportsmanship and friendliness at all our events is always second to none and today was no exception. The organisation was great and everything went according to plan, all credit to Lisah and MissT and Alfiesmam who never stopped running around all day. It was lovely to meet some of the newer members and put names to faces. Well done to everyone, your horses are a credit to you.

Hi all
I will post full results once the score sheets are returned from Hopetoun.
However, Congrats to
Victoria Sinclair (Teamfuff)and Glen Tanar for winning the Masterclass and Championship.
Amanda Creedon (Mindy) and Skippers Cleuch for winning the Veteran and Reserve Champion
Valerie Fairnington (ValerieF) and Silver Bullet for winning the in hand and best event horse type
Julia Furness (Jules) and Supreme Day for winning the Best Turned Out
Caroline Pennycook (CP) and Commanche Creek for winning Best Partnership
That is most of what I can remember as I am pooped !!!!
All the horses were beautifully turned out and I will NEVER forget the truly emotional sight of 22 ex racehorses in the ring for the Masterclass - it was just truly stunning and well done to all horses and riders for standing so calmly in the line up while everyone was judged.
It has been a real rollercoaster of a day - I have been run off my feet and I have to say a HUGE thank you to MissT, Alfiesmam and CNM for doing the table, number, rosettes and general liaison with the judges and commentator.
ALso a huge than you to the lovely lady who held Denzel whilst I ran about at the start to help with the setting up, and to LDF for showing my gorgeous Denzel in hand, for washing him off after the Masterclass while I rode another horse (Moofaji) in the veteran class, and for showing him in hand for me.
Also a HUGE than you to Lucinda and Peter for taking on the very hard job of judging all the wonderful horses and to Rober Hogarth for the great commentary.
It has been a huge success today, everyone left with a smile on their face and the horses were just a total credit to all the owners.

Well my own story is that Denzel was just a total star and I love him so much. This is only his third ridden show and he was just a total gentleman and fabulous in the ring. We were 10th in the masterclass and I was absolutely choked with emotion.
All the horses were just fabulous and it was great to see quite a few ex whitebog horses in the ring, all looking wonderful.
What really made the day for me was to see Valerie and Todd win the in hand (especially after the judges comments at the FOC) and Valerie crying because she loves her boy so much. He was 9th in the 1 day event the day before, their best placing yet, and she said to me ''this is the best 2 days I have ever had'' THAT is what makes all the stress, effort, time and work to organise these events worthwhile.
I am really tired now and need to get some sleep but I have to say how friendly it was today, everyone was just great and I am SO PROUD to be part of this club because the horses, owners, helpers and everyone are just fabulous.
Thanks to everyone who made today so fabulous - it really was a credit to you all.

I had a brilliant day too, as this was Dennis' 1st ever riden show & I was expecting all sorts of high jinks. As it was he loaded beautifully, stood outside the trailer to be tacked up (another first!), wandered about the hills to warm up & then participated in the group section (including group canter : without any major panic. As LisaH said, there were 20 horses in the class & by the time half had done their individual shows, Dennis was starting to get a bit fractious, so I decided to call it a day & go out on a positive note. I'm also looking forward to seeing the pics, as there may even be one or two where my boy is taking a contact ! BB - the unique rug also made it's debut & CNM took pics - watch this space

I've been thinking about you all throughout the day, wondering how you were all getting on, and hoping things were going well. Wish I could have been there - next year for sure! Well done ScotNorth and well done to all our beautiful horses (Valerie, I'm specially proud of you for shedding a wee tear - our horses deserve it, so good on ya!)

Thank you so much Lisa and the rest of the committee for organising today. I cant imagine how much work goes into it and the whole thing ran so smoothly, a real credit to you!! I took Alex for his first 'grass' experience and decided to do only the inhand so he could have a nice calm first experience of life away from the track. He was really wired to begin with but calmed down nicely and next time i'll definately get on! It was such a lovely friendly day and i cant wait for the next show now!! I have a video of the go-round of the masterclass. is it ok if i post a link to it?? Everyone looks great in it! What a class, i would happily have taken home anyone in it. YOu all looked so good and calm and even the odd yee-haa you showed your horsemanship in keeping everything calm. Hats off to you lot. Here are some gratitous Alex piccies!!

Thanks for a fab day Lisa and Team. Really wasn't sure how Flash would be as it was his first ever showing class and it was on grass, i've only ever had him at SNEC indoors. So although we didn't get placed i'm was very very proud of him (eyes filling up even typing this lol) . He was so well behaved and did great in the group section, have to say though that the group canter ( ) is possibly one of my scariest moments so far as had never done anything like that and wasn't sure how much brakes i would have with a snaffle, but he cantered round like a true professional. He also stood in the line up, which i didn't think he would do, and only moved for the flies, however he did try and edge his way over to to have a chat with Skippers Cleuch . He likes to chat. Which is his downfall as when it came to the individual showing bit he couldn't quite get why he was having to leave all these lovely horses and go do some trotting and cantering all by himself......hence why he then napped in a sideways canter right up the ring, not quite the nice figure of eight i was looking for I'm glad i did it though and it hasn't put me off showing, at least i now know what i need to do for next time! Kick like mad! It was nice to meet everyone and thanks for a great day! I got some lovely pics, computer wasn't working at home last night so will try again tonight. Hope to see you all again soon xx

Just to say a big thank you to everyone for a wonderful day, in particular Lisa, who had put in an enormous amount of work. It was lovely to meet some new faces and you are all so passionate about your horses. Ferdy enjoyed his day out. Look forward to seeing some of you again at St Boswells show on the 18th.
