Hello all
Well, we have kicked off the year at a 'gallop' with the Caroline Powell series of clinics and the team showjumping. Both were a huge success and we shall be repeating them. Caroline had lots of fun with those who were able to attend the clinics and will find time out of her busy schedule to do more in the summer.
We have been busy securing classes and best ex racehorse awards for the 2009 season and below is a list of shows confirmed thus far. There are more to be added and we will ensure the calendar of events on www.scotnorthexracers.co.uk is updated as soon as more events are confirmed.
We are delighted to have Peter Scudamore and Lucinda Russell as judges at the Festival in July. We have had enquiries from some well known judges asking to be added to our panel and we are in the process of discussing that with them. It is important that we appoint judges who understand ex racehorses and who agree with the principles behind our judging criteria. ;D ;D
Our patron, Peter Monteith, has agreed to come and present the Championship Show Supreme Champion and Reserve trophies in September, with the proviso that he may have to pull out if he is racing on the 27th! Thanks hon
As well as the showcase Festival of the Ex Racehorse in July and Championship Show in September, we are also looking into putting on some dressage, jumping and 'fun' shows. More information on this will follow. We are also organising clinics as there is a popular demand for this.
You may have noticed that we have moved the events boards from the forum. The main, and only, events list is now on the main website, accesible directly from this link www.scotnorthexracers.co.uk/calendar/all.ikml
Just to remind everyone, ScotNorth classes are qualifiers for Festival Association shows (Scotland and North of England) and the ScotNorth Championship Show in September at Scottish National Equestrian Centre.
So here is the list of events (in reverse order) agreed so far for 2009, there are plenty more to add once schedules have been confirmed.
