I have never been into this dressage stuff, but it might be something i fancy doing next year, if Lucy and i are ready!! I have a few questions.
1. Do the test change from year to year? 2. Is the walk, trot tests where a novice would start? 3. Where can you get the test sheets from? 4. Is there a website where it runs through what you need to do, where to start, then what test to do next?
I know its only July, but i would like to look into what is involved.

You can get all tests off British Dressage website or Dressage Diagrams. Im not sure about walk and trot tests but I have started with pre-lim test, there are quite a few, then there are the novice tests, then Im sure its elementary but not sure if that is affilliated. I think the tests are different for eventing though cos I nearly bought intro 4 at the feed shop, until I noticed. Ledston run some dressage tests, so ask Bailey when they are then work towards a pre-lim....the number 4 that I did yesterday was an easy one(well not for me, but thats what people said when I said I was doing that one)

Here's info about test sheets www.horsedata.co.uk/dressage_tests.htmWalk trot is a good place to start, then pelim which has canter. Next stop Olympics! The tests dont change, although they do update them from time to time. You enter the test you want to do, then you phone usually the day before for your time. You go round the outside of the boards until the judge tells yo to go in, then you enter, do test, breathe smile and leave the boards. Then you wait until you get your test sheet back. Great fun!
