www.topspec.com/www.topspec.com/TopSpec07/calmer.htmwww.topspec.com/TopSpec07/leisuretime.htmI highly recommend Top Spec products. My TB ex racehorse 'Brian' is prone to panic attacks and times of extreme exhuberance and I was at the point of giving up ever hacking him out of the yard or settling him at shows. As a last ditch attempt I put him on Top Spec balancer and calmer - the results were amazing. If you are having problems with temprament, or in trying to keep condition without fizzing up your horse then do give their products a try. They have a great feeding helpline where you will get plenty of help and advice. LisaH

I also feed Top Spec Anti Lam . I've tried lots of other products for her feet, but this one suits her best. I agree about the help line it's brilliant.

Mal has Top Spec Balancer in his feed - helps him get the most out of the nutrients in the rest of his bucket. Expensive, but worth it!

im on my first bag of blue chip just now but i might be swayed to try topspec now iv heard your comments i want it to hold condtion and keep him focused and quiet, blue chip is doing that but top spec is ALOT cheaper and id be able to buy the calmer as well in that case and then maybe we would be able to hack out again!!?? what do yous think should i try? the thing i like about blue chip is you get freebies when you collect the bags!! but then i guess we are paying for that in a way hmmmm

Hi Bingbobg
It's a hard one as the ingredients for the 2 brands are different. Why don't you call the feed line and talk it through with them. They are great and will not try to ''hard sell''
Let us know how you get on

Topspec will give a chart to compare bue chip products against Topspec. I use Topspec for the welshie it's great to finally find a feed which give him everything he needs without making him fat!

Until I had two I had my boy on F4F and it was doing wonders but at £35 for 5 kg rather pricey. When I got the 2nd beastie I did a comparason of ingredients and Topspec was the closest although the biotin was slightly lower... but I went for it anyway and have not been sorry their feet tend to grow like weeds on it ( and to be honest that is exactly what the top spec rep said when I spoke to her about my requirements) . A sack lasts my two a month and I didn't think £29.95 was too bad considering what I had been paying. What I also like is that there are other suppliments that can be fed that work in harmony with the original balancer So now both are on Topspec comprehensive and sid is also on the joint suppliment.

just thought.... it is a shame that they don't do a "moody mare" one, but I tend to use the global herbs one when my mare is in season ( she isn't moody just goes a little spacey!) as I know that there isn't anything in it that knocks out the Topspec products

after Lisa H recommending top spec to me I would also like to add just how amazing it has been eyes is a little pocket rocket most of the time and tends to wind himself up anyone who has seen him at musselburgh can vouch for this!!!!
well I put him onto hifi lite (eyes is a very good doer) I did have him on cool condition cubes but he got a little fat so I swapped them for fibre plus cubes and he is on leisure time balancer nd also the calmer and the results are amazing it has not stopped his personaility but it has given him a level head to cope with certain situations.
mari has just started top spec senior balancer so we will see how that goes xxxxxx
all in all fantastic stuff I hope everyone wsees a difference in him this year out and about

Just curious, what do you think it is costing you a month to feed on the top spec?

saddo that I am..........................feeding a 500kg horse , Top spec antilam costs 70p a day. The leisure time balancer is a bit cheaper and again for a 500kg horse it works out about 66p a day. I havent costed the cool condition cubes or calmers etc because I dont feed them. However it does work out cheaper because you dont need to feed as much hard feed. My mare lives on Topspec antilam , hay and high fibre cubes. I like Top Spec stuff its fibre based so doesn't blow horses minds.
