I have never used them but I saw the Oxy shot one advertised in Horse and Hound, I think a lot of top riders use it

hi yes Lisa H is right I did use oxyshot and while it did seem to make a bit of a difference to eyes I have found that the Top spec calmer has turned him into a different horse I found the oxyshot quite expensive to use.
He is also fed on top spec feed so maybe that helps with his temprement but I am sure some people on here could tell you the difference in eyes now compared to last year xxxx

you could try phoning top spec and ask what they advise i think like if you have a show you can triple dose the calmer for a week before he goes but i think if your using there feed combined it is better as sometimes its actually something thats in the feed that triggers off such reactions like what pig does like sertain ceriels, molases, and alfalfa

I feed the top spec balancer and calmer and I also double dose for a week if he has a big show coming up or if i can tell he is feeling a bit fresh!!!! I am sure everyone that has seen eyes lately has seen the difference in him

Yes we can Lindsay
Hannah - I feed Top Spec balancer to Brian and the calmer and double dose him a week before a show. It has made a big difference to him as well - although no calmer in the world will ever make him ''enjoy'' showing LOL
But - he went from being almost unrideable to going showjumping and being placed 3rd first time out and 2nd the next time - he has been on off lame since but the moral of all this rambling is that the change to Top Spec did result in a significant difference to Brian's rather scarey behaviour !!
Phone their helpline, they are ACE.

:(I've used many calmers for my ex racer Todd ,but the best I've used is NAFs Magic he's been on it now for about a year and he's like a different horse although he still has his moments, but nothing like he used to be.It costs about £24.00. My sister has used oxy shot on her TB quite a few times when she's going to shows but sometimes it works and other times it seems to have little effect, but I suppose it depends what mood the horse is in on that day.Hope this has helped.
