Im wondering if any1 is interested. Im having to give posh away. She is 15.3 10 years old. Has had a pedal bone rotation and therefore wear heartbars every 6 weeks. Although if only used as a companion she could get the shoes taken off. If any1 is interested please message me and il give more information. Very sad decision and 5 star home a must.

If she has been wearing heartbars to support her feet/keep her sound then please do not state that she could have her shoes taken off if she were to be a companion. This would remove all of the support the shoes have provided and I would say it is a fair bet she would go very lame.....attempting to rehab her to barefoot is an entirely different time consuming (and expensive!) idea that some people may consider and some not..if she has had pedal bone rotation then she will have existing damage and this is something which will need to be taken into consideration. It is certainly not just as simple as consigning her to the field as a companion and whipping her shoes off....
In this situation you have to think very carefully about her future and ensure whoever takes her on is fully aware of the cost of shoeing her to the standard that she requires...otherwise you risk her ending up abandoned as a toast rack in a field somewhere....
The market is flooded with far too many horses and there are many that end up as welfare issues. I am sorry if this reply sounds harsh but I struggled for years with my boy and his soundness issues and when it became clear that he could not be ridden there was no way I could ever have passed him on to anyone else.
If you seriously want to rehome her then perhaps provide more detail regarding her current routine, her soundness issues and long term prognosis from the vets.
