Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum and first of all I want to say I am very impressed, seems like a lovely little 'community'!
I have been advised to come here by a friend as I am on the look out for a project horse for myself. I am 21 years old now and have been riding since I was a child, have owned and loaned various types of horses over the years and also spent over a year working on a yard in Italy which dealt specifically with the training and starting of young and 'problem' horses. I learned a lot here and feel it it time to put my skills to the test on a horse of my own! I have not had my own horse since I was about 17 years old and have spent the last years just exercising other peoples' horses but I am finally in the position where I can invest both time and money into something I can call my own
I am based in Edinburgh and planning to keep my potential new horse at Morton Mains livery in the south of Edinburgh, which has plenty of grazing and a free box just waiting for me!
I've been interested in ex-racers for a while as I used to exercise a lovely ex-racer gelding back home in Oban when I was younger and I have a certain taste for the more challenging of horses!
I will consider anything but ideally something 16hh or over, and under 10 years old (I also get along better with geldings but again I am not too fussy). I will be spending a lot of my time hacking but would eventually like to take up some novice competing, perhaps cross-country. I can ensure he/she will be cared for better than I care for myself
I am hoping some of you may know of just the horse I have been looking for!
All the best
Lizzie
