If you are able tomorrow, at 10am, please take some time to think of and say goodbye to a most wonderful man who loved his horses.
Without Peter, who gave me the passion for ex racehorses, there would be no ScotNorth and that would mean that many of the wonderful and lasting friendships made on here would just not be.
My heart is breaking, the world has lost someone so special.
Just stop tomorrow at 10am and take a minute to say goodbye to a wonderful man.
Thanks
LisaH xxxx

Although I got Obs from Peter I never met him only spoke to him on the phone, until today when I discovered something. I used to go into Tesco at Hardengreen when I had Scrumps at Mountskip. I was admiring a red Norton Commando when the owner came up and asked me what was wrong with his bike - I said the colour and he said on you elitists who only like black ones. I said I'd never seen a red one before but black was my favourite colour as I'd always wanted to do the whole Marianne Faithfull thing and he laughed as he knew what film I was talking about. I had no idea who this guy was at the time and any time we met after that he always said 'Hi Marianne' and I said hope you've got my bike the right colour now. Today I learned my mystery motorbike guy was Peter. I never had him down as a biker xxxxx

The service was lovely - what I can remember of it - and even though the weather meant that many friends were stuck in traffic, the place was packed.
One of Peter's nicknames was 'snowface' so he had the last joke on us all yesterday, sliding through snow.....even he was late for his own funeral bless him.
I know that Lucinda and Scu were stuck somewhere between Kinross and Edinburgh and I just want to say thanks to them both for trying to get here.
It was a most heartbreaking day - life will be full of his memories. I only have to look round my house to see so many things that I can touch to remind me of him, and I only have to look into my head to see him.
So, life goes on without Peter - but we will keep his memory alive always.
Lin - sorry I did not get chance to talk to you much yesterday, I did not really say much to anyone so you were not the only one. You look after his favourite boy Obs, he was very special to Peter (as were all the others) and I will be arranging a parade of 'Peter Horses' at Musselburgh soon so make sure he is ready.
Lots of love to you all, and thanks for all your lovely messages and most of all, your friendship.

I was thinking of you yesterday, such a shame that some people couldn't make it - but i'm sure he wouldn't mind.
Huge hugs x
