By popular request, directions for Drymen showfield : From Edinburgh : about 64 miles on decent roads. 1. Take Edinburgh City Bypass onto M9, heading towards Stirling.
2. Leave M9 at Juntion 10, taking 2nd exit onto roundabout onto A84. Then follow signs for Erskine Bridge ( A811).
3. Stay on the A811, following signs for the Erskine Bridge & passing through villages of Arnprior and Buchlyvie.
4. Bypass turnoffs for Drymen village
5. After 2nd turnoff for Drymen, the road sweeps left towards a bridge - slow down!
6. Showfield is turning on right, immediately before the bridge. From Perth : about 54 miles, also on decent roads. 1. A9/M9 to Junction 10
2. From J10, follow signs for Erskine Bridge
3. From theron, follow directions as per point 3 above. From Ayrshire - 60 miles, on good roads. 1. A77/M77 to Junction 33
2. At Junction 33 go onto A726, following signs for Erskine Bridge/Greenock/M8
3. Follow M8 to Junction 30 (Erskine Bridge). Once on Bridge, stay in the left hand land & follow signs for Dumbarton/Crainlarich.
4. Once over Bridge & heading for Crainlarich, you are on the A82. Stay on this road, following signs for Crainlarich!
5. You will get to a big roundabout, with geese on the top - take 3rd exit from that roundabout, onto the A811 (think it's signposted for Drymen/Stirling)
6. Once on A811, keep following signs for Drymen/Stirling for about 7 miles, passing through village of Gartocharn.
7. At T-Junction (2 or 3 bendy miles after Gartocharn), turn left. Drymen showfield is immediately on the left, with entrance just over the bridge. FOR THE GPS- EQUIPPED : postcode is G63 0XY Hope to see loads of you there
