Can I use this forum to find horses??? Thinking about Claudia May through the Taffy thread, I remember one of her brothers, and wonder if anyone has heard of him: JOCKIE WELLS is her older brother by Primitive Rising. He was a really good looking chunky version of Claudia and although not fast enough for racing was a brilliant jumper. I re homed him through the ILPH so do not know where he is but he was such a lovely horse I am sure he must be in a private home somewhere. Does anyone know of him? Lucinda PS Her brother, Max, is in Aberdeen and has been eventing: I still hear from his owner which is lovely! :)And her other two brothers are still in training: Duke Of Malfi won a chase the other day and runs Sunday , and Prince Tam has had one run for experience and looks pretty good!

Lucinda
I noticed the Duke of Malfi had won-congratulations. Have such a soft spot for this wee mare (Claudia May) that I would love to hear how her brothers are doing.
Hope you get an update on Jockie Wells soon

I don't know anyone who has this horse, but wouldn't the ILPH be willing to help? I know they keep in touch about all the horses they have rehomed, so it might be as simple as a phone call.
Good luck!

Hi Lucinda
He is not registered with us so not sure.
However, we have a lot of guest viewers every day so somebody may see your post and get in touch.
And YES it is great to try and trace horses on here - in fact you have inspired me to set up a new board just for that - not quite in the same league as Jad inspiring you to get a full trainers licence :-)
I will set up a new board and move this in to there as the first post.

This is a brilliant idea Lisah! Thanks for putting it on: will be great to see if we can catch up with some of our horses. Is so sad to lose touch. Sometimes I feel like a school teacher who has many children through my classes but never get to hear what happens to them! Jad is a legend.. and he looks fantastic! A credit to Lorna. If only they were all so lucky! Fantastic site.. well done! L

Alliecat, Don't think the ILPH can tell me who they are re homed with? I will try them anyway but in the past they have not been allowed to tell me Mmm, yeah, would be a breach of the Data Protection Act for the ILPH to give out someone else's details. However, you could always ask the ILPH to pass on your contact details to the new owner & then it would be up to them whether they want to get in touch? The other thing that popped into my tiny mind is that we could add a couple of lines to our next article in S&N Equestrian, to the effect that trainers always like to hear how their previous charges are doing in their new lives, so please get in touch if you own an ex-racehorse.... I will discuss fine detail when I meet up with LisaH on Sunday

That would be a brilliant idea! And would be more publicity for the club.. ;D Great plan L
