Well I think it was MichelleC that said it could take 3 months for Eddie's feet to improve & that is exactly what it's took. The big day is finally getting closer, the blacksmith comes on Wednesday to put his shoes back on, I was wondering what you would do after a 3 month lay off. I know Eddies really good but I still don't want to underestimate him after his lay off. I don't really have anywhere that I can lunge him. I thought I would tack him up over the weekend and just take him for a walk with his saddle on & maybe a have a sit on him before he gets his shoes on. He's a pretty laid back dude but you never know What would you do?

Hi Hon Congrats on the big day re the shoes. You know I think you'll know what to do when the time comes. Tack him up and see how he behaves and if you feel confident get on in the school or have a little hack and if you don't then leave it till you are. Just dont get in a state about it or he'll start worrying LOL you can tell I'm a mum!! I was all geared up for Proph being excitable when he was first ridden again. The sod stood stood perfectly still while I mounted and behaved fab on his hack. The subsequent hacks were a little more spooky LOL. GOOD LUCK x

I couldn't wait until he got his shoes on, that's me NO patients....... I tacked him up & we went for a plod around his field, he had his ears back for a wee while but he was very good, but why is it the other horses in the next field always start galloping about at the critical times!!!!
