How long after you have had her trimmed do you notice them wearing down oddly? If its the general 6/8 weeks, i'd say to leave her unshod if she has good feet like you say. If its only 2/3 weeks, i'd have her shod. I can OH for advise - another Farrier. Mine and Gen's OH's can be the 'offline' farrier advice centre! :-) he he

I know its hard without you seeing them, but, she is due for doing, on the back the out side is ok but inside long. I do try not to go on two many roads, but i have to go on a main road to get off the roads, if you know what i mean.

Dont know if this will help or not....
when i got pigg his fet were very long and he still had on his alloy plates. His hind feet were worn down oddly and were very dry and brittle. My farrier said that fron shoe on and hind shoes left off till they grew a little more then he'd put shoes on. I was to try and lay off hard ground and gave him biotin for his tooties, next time round he could have back shoes on!
He couldv'e put abck shoes on originally but his feet were so brittle they would've jsut dropped off again!"!!!

If its any help, have asked OH, and as long as she has good feet - which you say she has, and she is comfortable on hard ground, then she will be fine with no shoes. Have her trimmed regularly and she should have no probs. And - it will save you a fortune too

Honey maybe she wears oddly due to the injury? she maybe or may have been unbalanced ( I am personally due to foot injury)
Any roads Parker is bare foot and if he can cope that way being ridden then he'll stay that way but The other 3 all need shod - no wonder I'm poor.
