Well Kyle had fun! Got him all plaited up in the morning and between me and him we had a MAJOR tantrum about getting his forelock plaited so I had to band it after stiching the rest Got there and he stood quite happy on the truck with his little shetland friend! I put his bridle on in the truck so I didn't have to mess around outside trying to get it on and a good job too! Little shetland came off the ramp closely followed by Kyle leaping off of it! So I walked him round for a bit, met lots of very nice people, including Valerie & Todd, Buzz and MissT! But I decided I wouldn't take him into the collecting ring until I could just go straight through into the ring as it was quite busy and Kyle was pretty buzzy! So off we trundled into the ring, down the first side at a sideyways jog, got to the bottom and spotted the cafe! Which of course was Oh so scary that from then on we went past it at the speed of light sidey-backwardsy-ways! Hehehe! To be fair to him, he did settle a bit after 2 rounds and he trotted out really lovely this time - once we had established that we do have to turn corners and not plough straight through them! So individual trot up - well we stood! Very smart and very pretty staring off into space in the way only Kyle can do! walked away ... and then came the dreaded cafe! Spun at the end and tried to tank off back up the arena! Another couple of flying circles later - to try and allow us enough room to zoom then settle into a trot, we trot back to the judge very prettily and past back into line. Where he then stodd in cloud cuckoo land again! So the daft little begger finished 2nd Then came the lap of honour ... We didn't manage this at Bonneyton as Kyle decided it was more fun to rodeo in circles but we did this time - ish! We had a little trot, a bit of canter, and a bucky-bunnyhoppy-thingy! Hehehe! Silly clever pony! Whilst waiting for Ranger to finish his classes Kyle was really chilled after his class, dondered around, ate some grass, yada yada. I took him back in the indoor school as he looked as if he needed a pee. So he stood in the corner, pawed at the ground 3 times to get a bit of fluffy dust to pee on and duly did his business. At this point some busy body woman comes over and has a go at me for letting him dig up the school! Saying "People have to ride there! Its just dangerous letting him dig up great big holes!" So I told her that he needed the loo and that we were so tight in the corner you really would have to be riding up the walls to get there! So she stomped back off to her child and pony at the other end of the school - who's head was strapped in tight in side reins and being chased with a whip by mother and daughter to try and get this poor pony to canter! Sorry for the essay
