When Chief lives out he doesn’t get a hard feed so no supplements. When he is in (Sept – Nov and Feb – April) he gets garlic granules and Glucosamine and Chondrotin tablets for his joints. (He is fed Simple system feeds so has their Total Eclipse feed balancer which has stuff like seaweed and Brewers yeast in it)
He also has Effol put on his feet as OH says it def makes a difference on his soft front feet.

eyes gets a joint supplement and his top spec calmer( I did try and take him off calmer but never again!!) he also gets top spec comprehensive balancer.
I use kevein bacon hoof dressing every other day and when it is really wet I use the cornecrescene hoof strenghther.
eyes really started to look quite poor as we did not have the best grazing this year so he was put onto cool condition cubes and he is no looking really good.

T is on top spec antilam, she also get global herbs hoof supplement, and cal mag.
Her feet are washed and sprayed with septiclense spray. I used to use effol and add some tea tree. Touch wood, the seedy toe has almost gone. I am slightly obsessed with Tickles feet.

Ellie gets garlic granules in her feed along with Cod Liver Oil. In winter if she starts with a cough I also give her honey (as well as damping the hay down)
At the mo she is also getting a herbal calmer...this was because she was stabled for 2 weeks and I thought it might just take the egde off her (and I had some that needed using up!)! and she is getting the rest of the Cider Apple vinegar...which I got when she was off her food when the virus kicked in. Once these last 2 have been used up that'll be it....she does get them mixed in her feed (Conditioning mix and chaff as she has lost some condition with being ill)

Flynn & Dougs get nuffin. Dennis gets Cornucrescine &/or Keratex on his feet plus Tempralax if he's going anywhere. Tammy gets Cortaflex, coz she's an old lady.
Oh, & they all get sprayed with NAF DEET & Avon Skin-So-Soft to keep the midges off!

Yep, he is and yep i'm very lucky. I once had him on different feed and he was like the devil posessed, it was awful. It took ages to suss it out but since finding what the problem was and changing his feed he is one of the most horizontal horses i know.

Tickles the same. No cereals, no mollasses and no alfalfa. If shes on fibre only feed she's fine. Otherwise she comes out in lumps, her feet abscess and shes slightly mad! Even some supplements set her off

Piggy used to get farriers formula when i got him. But right now he is on grass and doing very well. However, in the winter he gets ad lib haylage, 2 feeds a day of topline cubes, topspec and alfafa oil. I am going to get him a calmer too me thinks.
