Hi everyone... Hope you all had a good christmas.. We did up to boxing day.. Biker came in very lame on front leg. Had vets advice & doing everything possible for him. If no better in a couple of weeks - might have to go for scans. Lisa will keep you informed. Just keepin fingers, toes everything crossed that it's nothing too serious. He's on box rest at the moment & feeling very sorry for himself.. Even wanting cuddles in his stable.. (obviously not well)... Katie devastated bless her. Will keep you informed of udpates....

Yesterday not much better. Definately not an abscess. We have him on box rest & it doesn't stop him rolling for england. He can walk in straight line putting weight on it but when he comes to turn it's painful for him. If no better this week - vet will be out on Thursday so I'll see what they have to say. Fingers crossed he's just jarred himself. He's been ever so good & wanting lots of cuddles. We are spoiling him though.. Will keep you updated. Lisa I sent you an e mail but it came back undelivered

Thanks Alliecat. Just a little update - Been cold bandaging, clay stuff etc etc. Hes actually a lot better. Took him in the arena yesterday & he rolled god knows how many times. I have never known a horse roll like he does. Vet out on Thursday so will have a word with them but he does seem to be getting there. so hopefully it looks like hes just pulled or jarred himself. Keeping him on box rest though - No way his he going out in all the mud . He's been a perfect patient. Bless him... Love him to bits...

Hi Jackie / Katie I am so glad that he is on the mend. I spoke to Peter and he says unless he has really been galloping round he doubts that this is to do with his old injury as that was fully healed before he let him go !! However, he can't rule it out completely but just feels that he really must have been going some to aggravate the old injury. He thinks it's more likey he has sprained himself in the deep mud and that box rest is the best thing for him until the sprain heals. I am so glad he is getting better - he always loved to roll - his favourite would be at Musselburgh beach after a good workout - they use the beach if the gallops are frozen. Keep us posted on his improvement and let us know what the vet says tomorrow Loads of love and hugs to you both

:-*Thanks everyone. Vet came out today but we couldn't take Biker outside because it was snowing & very slippy. However Vet happy with him & what we have been doing & told to carry on. Swelling gone done & no heat so hopefully just a jarr. Vets however say after 2 weeks if not sound we must take him for scans. (which we knew that really).. fingers crossed - He's a lot better now.
