Thanks for thaT. I had all the girls around her today when I was changing her rug. I wanted their opinion of her in the flesh. They all said she looked good. You can just feel her ribs and Her coat is gleaming. She was about 500kg coming into winter.

She looks fine to me. Keeping weight on a TB in winter is an artform, it's took me 4 years to perfect it with Bobby.
Don't make the mistake of comparing her to other breeds though, otherwise you will always think she looks lean.

Thanks everybody, I feel better now. and relieved lol. I have never really got too hung up about the weigh tape before. I just went with how she looked. I have had her for 4 years and thinks she sort of looks the same all year round. Probably a bit fatter in the summer i suppose. she seems to be healthy. it was just with everyone posting about their horses weight that i thought i would join in lol. Brooke will never be chubby. I remember complaining to my gran as a kid, about being too skinny, her saying was always 'better to be like a racehorse than a carthorse'.

well, Tickle is about 16.1 and weighs 451 according to weightape. I thought she'd be more as she doesn't look light. Just goes to show

Try not to get obsessed with the weight tape, it's not 100% accurate. When i worked in racing they used to weigh the horses every week on a little weighbridge thing, one week after they had been weighed, we weighed about 5 horses with the tape and the difference ranged from 30kg to 50kg, lighter on the tape than the bridge. So although good as a guide, don't take it as gospel.
